STATEMENT FROM THE NRHL PRESIDENT

by Matt Wiedenhoeft

REGARDING THE 2020 SEASON AND COVID-19

The National Roller Hockey League (NRHL) is continuing to prepare for the May 22, 2020 puck drop on its 2020 season while monitoring and observing the progress of COVID-19. While the NRHL is moving forward on plans for the start of the regular season, it is creating contingency proposals for various possibilities.

The NRHL will take preparations one day at a time moving forward. The NRHL is communicating with elected officials and other sports leagues in North America daily, while monitoring news outlets for updates. We will continue to listen to those professionals in the field and examine the actions of the major three professional sports leagues.

The NHL, NBA, and MLB have either delayed, suspended, or ceased operations as of today. In light of this, we are carefully considering all options and are prepared to take any and all actions necessary to ensure a successful launch, while keeping everyone safe and healthy.
